The Ruby Homes program is an affordable housing development with 6 new constructions and 5 rehab units. These scattered site single family homes are being developed to assist in ending homelessness in this community. Ruby Homes is sponsored by the City of Gary Department of Community Development and funded by Indiana Housing and Community Development. Lots were donated by the City of Gary Department of Redevelopment, while the rehab units were donated by the Lake County Commissioners Office.
